This document outlines how your data is handled when you interact with my digital space. It’s less exciting than the history of garden gnomes, but significantly more important.

Comments
When you leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, your IP address, and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
“Prompt Peery” Submission Form
When you submit a prompt via our “Prompt Peery” contact form, we collect the name (or pseudonym) and email address you provide. We collect this information for two primary purposes: 1) To give you proper credit should your prompt be used as the basis for a future post, and 2) To potentially contact you for clarification about your submission. We will not use the email address you provide for marketing purposes or add you to any mailing lists.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
Embedded content from other websites

Submissions via the “Prompt Peery” form are retained for a reasonable period to allow for the management of our content creation queue. They are periodically deleted after they have been reviewed.
What Rights You Have Over Your Data
If you have left comments on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
